You may recall some of the posts on the list dealing with first time builders. This time around I asked myself what are the other possible values implied by the stars? It turns out that 23 out of 29 are useless. Back to this example, at the least, sparc* should be used rather that *sparc* which implies there are values with characters leading the string.
