Yes, the EQ changes should be in darwinEvents.c, which is where you added 
DarwinEQFini to compliment DarwinEQInit.

I'm worried about CloseInput exising in both darwinXinput.c and now darwin.c.  
Just squash this into your patch and it'll be fine:
