There are still cases where the shared greeter is not desired.
In particular OpenBSD/vax doesn't support shared libraries.
BTW, Ubuntu 11.10 and Fedora 15 both ship xdm 1.10 with the shared
greeter disabled too.

Still seems like the greeter/Makefile.am should only be setting the
-DGREET_LIB in AM_CFLAGS if DYNAMIC_GREETER, but if the current code
is working for you, I won't object.
