Not sure if you'd call 64-bit Windows a real amd64 platform, but given
that Microsoft made the brilliant decision to use the LLP64 mode, it
certainly won't define __LP64__.

Well, we don't claim to support Win32 or Win64 directly in X code either,
only via things like CygWin that presumably use more compatible ABI models.
