Implementing this will improve overall quality of compose sequences and consolidate the 413 additional compose sequences currently defined in gtk+ for GNOME and solving conflicting definitions compared to compose sequences in Xorg for KDE, etc. A lot of work has gone in to this and I hope this bug can be solved soon.
