It *is* Windows, after all, so a certain level of insanity is to be expected? In any case, as Jon explained it to me, it's done on a per-window basis -- for top-level windows, it's easy to directly use the Windows GL. For sub-windows, that's "hard", and so the current code uses swrast. -- [email protected]
