Thanks, but as a former Board member I can readily attest that this
list isn't about recognition of past work, but commitments to do more
work in the future, which is why after 6 years on the board I've
declined all further nominations, as I've not had the time to devote
to doing the job well (and honestly was a bit burnt out), and saw
others who could spend more time on doing the job willing to step up
and bring the needed energy to the role.
I'm not saying I'll never return to the board - I see Eric is stepping
up again after years away - just not now. In the meantime, I continue
to serve X.Org in other ways - such as the recent releases of the apps,
the ongoing maintenance of the @XorgFoundation twitter account, and
occasional question answering & patch review when time allows.
