seems my patches weren't picked yet.
note that the driver is maintained by different team, with different
workflows: they're using classic patch mails to the maillist.
Where you say "cleaned up in xfree86-video-intel" -- where is that
if not in the git repo?

IMHO you could use it for your distro patch queue as is.
