------- Comment #90 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-07-23 22:14 PST ------- Short update wrt flickering problem of my radeon card. (VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] [1002:5960] (rev 01)) I reported the problem begining of last year. I tried almost all fixes/workarounds found here and elsewhere but finally had to stick to the analog output to avoid flickering on an Eizo FlexScan L885. Meanwhile I have another screen. It is an Eizo FlexScan S2000. (1) On the new screen I can use the Radeon 9200 with DVI w/o any flickering! (2) Furthermore I have another Gfx card (VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RV370 5B60 [Radeon X300 (PCIE)] [1002:5b60]) It works perfectly with DVI on the older L885. (even w/o reduced blanking modeline or such) In fact I run each card with dual screen using both monitors w/o problems. The only thing that is not working is the combination of Radeon9200+DVI+FlexScan\ L885. This makes me think that just certain hardware combinations suck. It's not the radeon card not just the monitor that caused that flickering. This is dissatisfying but I don't care anymore ... And I think that certain monitors (e.g. Samsung 204B and Eizo L885) are less tolerant to the signal quality on the DVI input. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. _______________________________________________ xorg-driver-ati mailing list [email protected] http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-driver-ati
