Seems to be fixed allright! I can use 1280x1024 again :-)
I still have to define additional modes in xorg.conf to be able to select
1280x1024 (and320x200, for what it's worth). Without additional Modes in
xorg.conf, I can select 1400x1050, 1024x768, 800x600, and 640x480.
