with the ati driver 6.7.196 when gdm loads it switches when loading x but
rather than getting the gdm login i get a black screen I need to switch to a
console and back to see what I should see in the first place
the driver in ubuntu gutsy did similar but monitor would also go into sleep
mode
this is on a mac mini g4 lspci lists the card as
0000:00:10.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon
9200] (rev 01)
monitor is connected via dvi no converters
