Using Xorg-video-ati from both GIT and release 6.9.0 built from source with
Xorg 7.4/XServer 1.5.0

of XVideo (Xine, for instance) crashes with the message:

X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (XVideo)
Minor opcode of failed request: 19 ()
Serial number of failed request: 2307
Current serial number in output stream: 2308

xvinfo shows:

Just to reiterate that this happens with both GIT and release versions of
Xorg-video-ati driver, and that the hardware is an RS690M based X1200 Radeon in
my laptop. Using X11 SHM driver on any video player works just fine, though
with the degraded performance you might expect from it in fullscreen.
