--- Comment #11 from Michel Dänzer <[email protected]> 2009-10-02 04:37:47 PST --- (In reply to comment #10) > Ah, that did fix the problem. So it is related to the switch of AccelMethod in > Karmic. Well, I guess I'll stick to EXA for now. Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for the XAA issue to be fixed. > Should I file a bug report about this, or is this issue related to my video > card? If so, is that a Xserver or Ubuntu issue? The default acceleration method is determined by the driver. However, this is tricky - the default was first changed from XAA to EXA for all cards, but then back to XAA for cards such as yours with little video RAM, due to complaints about bad performance with EXA. Hopefully that can be fixed once and for all at some point with KMS, but in the meantime I'm afraid we just can't get the default right for everybody. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-driver-ati mailing list [email protected] http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-driver-ati
