Hi,
SOLVED ...
I just solved the multi screens in Debian "sid".
1.) Updating kernel 2.6.32.5.
2.) purging any fglrx remains
3.) install driver from sid repository ( xf86-video-ati )
4.) X -configure -modulepath /path/to/modules
5.) edit xorg.conf to suit needs
VOILA
Still unresolved why newest trunk xf86-video-ati produce black screen on second
monitor. But testing further.
Thank you

Subject: FW: Debian multiscreen onHD5850

Hi,
I partially solved the problem. Completely removal of fglrx reminders and
xorg.conf gives display on both screens ( DVI-1, DVI-0 ) on first card ( radeon
5850 twin setup).
There is still problem with authomatic "xorg.conf" creation through "X
-configure" because of segmentation fault. Second problem is second screen goes
black just after xorg.conf is configured and xorg restarted.
There is also "/dev/fb" missing report in X.org.log.
Please, any advice.
Thank you

Subject: Debian multiscreen onHD5850

Hi,
I got problem with Debian and 4 screens on 2xSapphire HD5850 ? Explicitly they
are black except main screen. One screen works fine others black -I tried many
configuration possibilities and wondering if anyone could point me to the right
place/solution. I tried to send logs and xorg.conf but It seems they were too
big.

Any help please.
Dan
