The manual page for radeon contains:
REDWOOD
Radeon HD 5550/5570/5670
There are several more Redwood cards, including the following Mobility Radeons:
5650, 5730, 5750, 5770, 6530M, 6550M and 6570M.
I switched from fglrx to radeon and am using it on a 5650 with no issues since
several hours.
