Thanks for your help! Just now I uninstalled both libgl1-mesa-glx and
libgl1-mesa-dri. Now I am using Mesa 7.10.2 produced by Brian Paul and I
can use direct rendering on my box.
No idea why it works, but the glxgears performance is ~1500 fps. I'll
try to reproduce the steps and get the log tomorrow. Since I think I
need to modify it, I really need to know how to make my build work.
Thanks,
Superymk

Did this really remove all fglrx related packages?
name of display: :0.0
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /opt/xorg/lib/dri//tls/swrast_dri.so
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /opt/xorg/lib/dri//swrast_dri.so
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig
You need to look at Xorg.0.log and possibly the dmesg output to find out
why the X server fails to initialize GLX/DRI.
