--- Comment #5 from Kai-Uwe Behrmann <[email protected]> 2011-11-02 14:25:33 PDT --- With oS-12.1 LiveCD 0363 kernel-3.1.0-rc09-1-desktop EDID is still missed. The kernel message with dmsg are the same like above. The /var/log/xorg.0.log shows a useful resolution for that laptop monitor. However the the EDID is not propagated to user space as XRandR "EDID" atom. This was tested with xrandr --verbose. The machine is a laptop with ATI Cedar. Consequently tools like oyranos-monitor fail to identify the monitor device and can not select and setup a monitor ICC profile. With a proper other monitor EDID is fine and xcmddc sees the EDID too. I can not understand why the laptop monitor EDID is used in kernel space is but not exposed as the XRandR output "EDID" atom. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-driver-ati mailing list [email protected] http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-driver-ati
