using the Radeon driver: http://free3d.org/
System:
3.8 GHz PhenomII x4 core AMD processsor
4GB DDR3 RAM
Sapphire Radeon 6950 graphics card
Tested using "vblank_mode=0 glxgears" for longer than 30 seconds, in Openbox
with only one terminal open:
Maximum framerate: 1259.137 FPS
