You need to load radeon with the audio parameter to enable hdmi audio
(e.g., radeon.audio=1 on the kernel command line in grub). As for ELD
support, I'm not sure what's missing, I'm not really that familiar
with the audio side.
Yes, radeon.audio=1 is of course on, otherwise my HTPC wouldn't be any
fun really ;-)
But for some reason the Alsa HDMI kernel code (patch_hdmi.c
specifically) does not seem to attach to radeon...
