When starting X server with 3.17.2 it fails with: (EE) RADEON(0): [drm] Failed
to open DRM device for pci:0000:01:00.0: Inappropriate ioctl for device. The
same configuration starts correctly with 3.16.6.
Versions: xserver - 1.16.1, xf86-video-ati - 7.5.
