OK, so digging into this even more, I think might be a duplicate of
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95475 or at least related to it.
According to the logs, EXA is used by default, so I tried switching to glamour
and it works fine, even with the latest commit. I guess I could try rolling
through the commits again with DRI3 and EXA enabled and see what commit
actually breaks things since there are only a few commits between.
