I have set up a Gentoo system today to get a chance to try a newer version of
the driver. The problem is not reproducable on
Linux kernel 4.10.14
X.Org X Server 1.19.2 (current Gentoo stable)
xf86-video-ati 7.8.0
However I can't try out the radeon driver version 7.7.99 as it is not in the
respositories anymore, so I'm not sure if it would have occured at all using
otherwise the same config as on Fedora 25.
I'll report back when Fedora 26 goes stable, it seems that 7.9.0 is the stable
version for Fedora 26.
