Does this also happen with the modesetting driver instead of xf86-video-amdgpu?
Please also attach the output of
xrandr --verbose
But TBH, it's hard to imagine how this could be caused by a driver issue. The
drivers don't have any direct influence on if/where/how windows are created or
displayed. This looks like an issue between kwin and the applications.
