I've recently started running xorg 1.5.0 from debian experimental. I keep getting this error:
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0". It doesn't appear to do any harm but it's annoying. The only thing I've been able to find is this: http://archive.netbsd.se/?ml=xorg-team&a=2008-05&t=7493915 which is not really applicable, as everything I have is 1.5.0: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/data/home/pictures/Panasonic/2008-09-14$ head /var/log/Xorg.0.log (WW) Failed to open protocol names file /etc/X11/xserver/protocol.txt X.Org X Server 1.5.0 Release Date: X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0 Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.17.7 x86_64 Debian Current Operating System: Linux selene 2.6.24-1-amd64 #1 SMP Sat May 10 09:28:10 UTC 2008 x86_64 Build Date: 04 September 2008 11:37:30AM xorg-server 2:1.5.0-1 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version. Can anyone shed any light on this? Is this a debian packaging problem or should I be chasing down something on my system? Thanks, --Yan _______________________________________________ xorg mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg
