Hi, I'm currently trying to force a custom modeline using the intel driver version 2.5.0.
I used the LVDSFixedMode "false" option to force the driver to skip any hardcoded/BIOS related modeline. Looking at the screen, I can definitely see that the modeline isn't taken into account (pixel are flicking, etc.). Looking further in the Xorg.log file I saw the following message: (II) intel(0): Mode for pipe B: (II) intel(0): Modeline "1024x600_g3"x59.8 51.00 1024 1184 1185 1344 600 612 613 635 -hsync (37.9 kHz) (II) intel(0): Adjusted mode for pipe B: (II) intel(0): Modeline "1024x600_g3"x59.8 65.00 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806 -hsync (48.4 kHz) (II) intel(0): chosen: dotclock 65142 vco 1824000 ((m 76, m1 11, m2 9), n 2, (p 28, p1 2, p2 14)) (II) intel(0): Selecting less common 24 bit TMDS pixel format. Seems like the modeline is adjusted by the driver _even_ if I specified the LVDSFixedMode "false" option. I really don't know what to do next... How can I force my modeline to the driver? The panel I'm trying the configure has a native 1024x600 resolution and doesn't have any ROM for EDID info.
