7.0 Release won't support this card, or at least not with drm. You at least need to update your ports collection and rebuild. That should at least get you a radeon driver that will work with this card. You will need to update to -STABLE to get working drm. robert. > > Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org > to make sure that you have the latest version. > Module Loader present > Markers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting, > (++) from command line, (!!) notice, (II) informational, > (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown. > (==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Fri Mar 6 16:45:21 2009 > (==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" > (WW) RADEON: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:2:0:1) found > (EE) No devices detected. > > Fatal server error: > no screens found > XIO: fatal IO error 53 (Software caused connection abort) on X server ":0.0" > > after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining. > > xauth: (argv):1: bad display name "xxx.nycap.rr.com:0" in "remove" command > > now this is my first video card... and after reading the manpage for "radeon" > the only thing which might help is: > > The driver auto-detects all device information necessary to > initialize > the card.
