You do need to install the X11 keyboard and mouse drivers to interface with the FreeBSD console drivers, and you should check that the sysctl hw.ofwfb.relax_mmap is 1. Your xorg.conf looks basically identical to mine. Did you change anything since the last X server log you sent out? -Nathan I tried using ati as the driver then switched it back to r128. I reinstalled r128. Pkg_info |grep xf86 lists the keyboard and mouse drivers as already installed. When I type dmesg|grep pci it lists the address for the card as a vgapci. Which log message or system file do you need me to send? Xorg.0.log with logverbose set to 9. -Nathan I did startx -- -logverbose 9 -logfile /var/log/Xorg.0.log And sent the results to http://slexy.org/view/s2IF73TSxW Thanks for helping me through this. Add "AllowEmptyInput" "Off" in your "ServerLayout" section? -Nathan Okay, I fixed the log error. My apologies about that. What remains is "no screens found.' I also restarted dbus and hal. Is it actually loading the r128 module? The last log you sent didn't have it. You may also get better luck asking on freebsd-x11@ -Nathan I've joined the x11 list and sent the links . Thank you for helping me through this. Here is the entire conversation with links.
