The > idea would be to use the touchscreen to move the pointer and > generate click events, so that I can start and close programs, and > use an on-screen keyboard to input text. 64029 has been fixed and the driver won't crash anymore now. however, a device that only exposes mt axes and no ABS_X/ABS_Y is agains the kernel spec iirc and we won't support those. Fix the kernel driver and the evdev driver will just work.
