Ho Russ!

Thanks for replying!

I didn't put the 'my-font-directory' in /usr/share/fonts, but why should I do so if there's an option to add my folder to the font-path using the 'xset fp+ my-font-directory'?

Reagrds!!

Hi there!!

When I trying to add fonts files to the fonts path using the 'xset fp+ my-font-directory' command, although I have ran the command mkfontdir before that, I get the following error message:

xset: bad font path element (#7), possible causes are:
Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
  Directory missing fonts.dir
Incorrect font server address or syntax

note that the permissions for this directory and all its descendants are u=rwx.

What's the problem?

Did you put "my-font-directory" in "/usr/share/fonts" ?
