Hi all, I've integrated, as far as possible, any user-contributed patches submitted to the xorp-hackers@ mailing list since XORP 1.6 was released. I will try to make a pass over the company Bugzilla for any low-hanging fruit.
If you have patches, now is a good time to air them out for review and incorporation. We would like to roll a 1.7-RC, however, we will be more dependent on user contribution than before, as the XORP, Inc. company resources are focused on delivering product for the moment. It would be my hope in future that we can see more participation from the company developers in this forum, however, this will only be possible if they are able to deliver and launch commercial product. In order to do this, we will probably have to call a code freeze some time this month. One of the things I want to get started on is integrating Boost and Thrift into the main code base. It's difficult with only one hand on deck (myself) on the community branch to do this, whilst we have changes in-flight, and whilst the code is a moving target. To minimize churn, I tend to fork feature branches and re-incorporate them further on; both the Windows port, and OLSR code, were developed in this way. I hope you can appreciate that the time I can spend on email support is limited, and that it is on a best-effort basis. thanks, BMS _______________________________________________ Xorp-hackers mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.ICSI.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/xorp-hackers
