Sorry, I didn't replay to the Mailinglist... So, now... Thank yourVery nice work. This is a problem, for me a really big problem, but this is also with the old Xournal...A couple of comments/bugs:1) When I switch to portrait mode, the stylus doesn't draw in the correct place (orientation is correct but drawing is offset) In the FAQ of the original Xournal is written you have to restart Xournal... I tried it out now, GIMP has the same Problem! So I don't know if there is a solution at the moment...:-( (I will see, because I often rotate the screen I for sure won't forgot this problem!) I know this Bug, but I don't have an idea how to fix this... Maybe somebody else has an Idea? Also another Bug, GTK has a List of devices, if you unplug e.g. your mouse this list is not updated, if I access this device Xournal will crash. (I think there is a Bug report on SF, the old Xournal has the same problem...) The command line is not parsed yet;-)2) xournalpp is refusing to open pdf's on the command line (it simply doesn't open them) and also refused to open some from the menu: Error opening file 'file:///home/mcelrath/Zotero/storage/WNAQNWHD/McKay%20and%20Munczek%20-%201989%20-%20Composite-operator%20effective-action%20considerations.pdf.xoj' And the other Problem: I still use gzopen, but I would use GFile, then I also can open document on shares. (The problem are the spaces, which are not handled correct at the moment). Ok, there is a TODO: in the code, also if you open A xournal file where the attached PDF is not found this will happen, I know;-)3) after failing to open files like the above, xournalpp crashes and must be forcibly killed. You may see in the first Screenshot, in the settings dialog a Page "Colors".4) I don't like the red border around the page... I think I will provide an option to select the color, and also to disable the shadow, I like it, but it needs about 20pixel, and others may don't like it... There is no options menu anymore;-) Already done.5) I like your preferences panel, I think we should move everything from the "options" menu into it. Because there are different screen size, and you may don't use the same tools etc. there is a config file in ~/.xournalpp/toolbar.ini6) In portrait mode, the main toolbar is too wide for my (1400x1050) screen. You can define your own toolbars or edit the current. Later I think I will provide a GUI for this, like evince has one. But please create also a Backup if you changed the file, it will may be overwritten, if you update to a later version! I know, this is because there is not enough error handling at the moment.7) Some error messages on the terminal: there appears to be a problem with one of the gtk widgets: This is not so a big problem... Thank you for your feedback! (I added TODOs in the code, where not already was a TODO) Andreas |
