Hi Leo,

I spent some time looking at your branch of xournal. I am very impressed
with the way the images are handled. It really makes xournal useful now
to prepare presentations.

I fixed a small bug that stopped it from running in my computer (linux)
and added an extra feature (if the same image is stored multiple times,
it only saves its data once in the file, rather than multiple copies,
this is done using an id and refid field in the image).  I made sure
that xournal is backwards compatible with images that do not contain the
reference id.

 I also took the time to merge your changes into my repo (temporarily in
a branch called leo). You can find my patches to your branch there.

Let me know what the status of your branch is, and we can perhaps plan
to merge some our changes together.
