Not long ago Cournal [1] was announced on this mailinglist.
Cournal is intended to be as simple and (hopefully some day) feature-rich
as Xournal.
As a Co-Developer I am currently involved in porting Cournal to the Android
System.
So there is some effort in bringing an open source and xournal compatible
project to android.
Since Cournal is written in python first effort is to get involved with
sl4a [2] and fullScreenUI [3].
