When I was playing with the Windows port (about 1.5 years ago) I found the
drivers to be a giant headache.  I ended up using Wintab32.dll v. 1.0.4.8
that can be found in the Wacom driver 7.02-21, and xinput worked mostly ok,
although it would still mysteriously crap out sometimes.  What was worse is
that side button release event would not register a good portion of the
time, meaning I would accidentally erase things very often.  This was
definitely a GTK+ and/or driver issue; I tried to hack around it in code
but wasn't 100% successful.  I was building under mingw (gathering together
all the dependencies under mingw was also a pain).
