Hi Denys, everybody else,

for the first time I have been doing heavy reviewing with the Linux Lenovo
Yoga tablet. I have been using mostly the Windows tablet.

I am finding that Xournal has become very buggy around enabling/disabling
stylus/touchscreen.

I could be in the middle of annotating, and suddenly both the stylus and
the touchscreen cease to work. then I wait what appears a random amount of
time, and it works again (or try to click outside xournal).

once I finish with this reviewing I have to do, I'll check to see if I can
figure out why the regression. I fear it has to do with recent changes in
the interaction between pen and touchscreen.

In the past it used to be very well defined behaviour:

- the pen would make the touchscreen stop responding.
- i would touch the outside of the canvas to restore touchscreen

but it was very deterministic.

ALso, I don't know if this was X or Xournal, but for the first time my
laptop X window session crashed when I was using xournal exclusively.

by the way, I am using the proximity hack (disable touch when the pen is
close), maybe this is the reason of the issues. But it appears that even if
I drop the pen and only use my finger, I get unresponsive moments.
