Hi,

notebooks with i815em still have the problem with flickering LCD,
most likely because of wrong settings for the FIFO water mark(s)
(drivers/i810/i810_wmark.c).

I've just played a bit with such a notebook and twiddling with those
values changes the patterns of flickering, but my first few guesses
(16bpp mostly) haven't been completely successfull.

where can I find docs for this register(s) and/or the magic values
in i810_wmark.c ? I got i815em data book PDFs but can't find
any reference to "water"mark, or mmio register with offset 0x20d8
or similar. where should I look for details ?

is there a simple command line tool to tweak i815 registers,
so that I can inteactively test different fifo settings ?
start of next week I'll get such a notebook for testing/tuing...
