Hi
Here is my problem, I'm trying to get X to run under Midori Linux on
a machine which uses an ATI Mobility M (Mach64) chipset but have been
unsuccessful. I'm using the XFree86 4.0.3 package of X that comes
with Midori Linux. I know the X drivers in the X-4.0.3 release
supports the chipset because I had Red Hat 7.1 running successfully
with X-4.0.3 on the same machine. Midori Linux however installs X
differently in that only a minimal set of X components are installed
to save space. I configured X to install and use the "ati" and
"atimisc" drivers which support the chipset however when I try to
start X, it fails and reports unresolved symbols in the atimisc_drv.o
and ati_drv.o modules. I suspect there may be an ATI dependency
missing in the minimal install of X under Midori Linux but I haven't
been able to find the problem. I've included the XFree86.0.log that
was generated below for further reference. Does anyone have any
ideas of what may be the problem here? Thanks for any help you can
