Hi

I am having trouble with an AGP ATI Xpert card, which I believe is an
Xpert 2000, with a Rage 128 PF Pro chipset, and a Samsung SyncMaster 170T
flatpanel.

The analogue output of the ATI card works fine, but attempting to use
the digital output causes a total system freeze on starting X.

The XF86Config file is set to use the r128 driver. The AGPMode option
appears to make no difference to the behaviour.

I have tried XFree86 4.1.99 and also a CVS build from a couple of days
ago. In both cases, X -probeonly works successfully, whilst attempting
to run the server properly causes the crash.

The motherboard is an ASUS A7M266; the kernel is 2.4.7.

Relevant output of X is below... any ideas would be appreciated. So far
the only solution I have heard is to use the "vesa" driver!

Mark
