I narrowed that down to wmcpu, which will cause the X Server to segfault
really fast. (Reproducably not more than a minute...)
I also switched to the stock ac-10 kernel.

Now the X Server exits gracefully and restores text mode, maybe because
I did a dist-upgrade today and now got version 4.1.0-6 of the Debian
packet, maybe because I backed out the preempt patch, maybe some other
reason...
I attached gdb to the running X server (from my notebook), but he did
not found the symbol tables, so no useful results... How do I recompile
the package with debugging symbols ?
