I am trying to display Cadence icfb from a Sun Blade workstation to a linux
box. The linux computer is running XFree86 4.1.0. When I start up I get an
error from icfb saying:
*WARNING* Atr: Failed to find 8-plane PseudoColor visual
I assumed this had something to do with needing an 8-bit display so I tried
that and it would load but then behaved badly: some dialoges would not pop
up. Anyway, I don't want to have to run my desktop in 8-bit color since I
have this app working perfectly with Exceed, a windows X server by enabling
"emulate 8-bit color".
Does XFree have such an emulate 8-bit color setting? Has anyone had luck
remotely displaying Cadence to Linux and XFree86 4.1.0?
