Without much trouble, I have forced a Xpert2000 to work by putting this
into my XF86Config:
Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI Xpert2000"
VendorName "ATI"
BoardName "ATI Xpert2000"
Chipset "ATI Rage 128 RF (AGP)"
Driver "r128"
Option "AGPMode" "4"
Option "UseCCEFor2D" "false"
VideoRam 32768
EndSection
It basically "forces" the Rage128 chip on the card to be supported ;-)
