I have an interesting problem.
I am using XFree86 3.3.6 with Red Hat 6.2 and XFree86
4.1 with Red Hat 7.1. I have a proprietary application
that I must use and that changes the keyboard
mapping when it is called. So, anything that comes
after this application has a keyboard mapping it should
not have. I tried calling X with the option:
    -disableModInDev
This option is supposed to disable dynamic modification
of input device settings, but this program still
changes the keyboard mapping.
I know I could use xmodmap to reload the previous
keyboard mapping, but this is something that will be
difficult to implement in my environment.
Does anybody have any idea of what I might do to avoid
this from happenning? I cannot change the application
(no source code vailable), so my best option is to
tell X not to allow any keyboard mapping changes.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Rodrigo
