If you grab the latest CVS version of XFree86 4.1.99, which is due to be 4.2.0 late this month, tenatively (http://www.xfree86.org/releaseplans.html#4x). My Toshiba Tecra 8200 also has the Cyberblade XP. I have an XGA+ screen (1400x1050) but the current code only works at 1280x1024. It is unaccelerated though, so you might want to contact Trident and gently let the sales department know that you'd really appreciate them allowing the engineers to share hardware specs to the XFree86 team. Otherwise just get a copy of the CVS, compile and install. Be sure to set the VideoRAM and you should be good to go. Its pretty easy to get a working picture. -pete -- (peter.royal|osi)@pobox.com - http://pobox.com/~osi - uin#153025 your brain on life - http://fotap.org - incubating "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Ben Franklin, ~1784
