Hate to plug my own site, but...
you may want to try out my site at http://www.deater.net/john/PavilionN5430.html. Sounds like you have a very similar laptop.. And it has a working XF86Config file for X 4.1.0. That said.. I'm personally using X 4.1.99 w/ Xv fixes on my laptop, and it works great.. Now if only trident would release the specs to get some real acceleration.. I was soo happy when redhat 7.2 came out w/ X 4.1.0 so that I would stop getting email with "Linux 7.1 doesn't work on my laptop!"... then it turns out RedHat 7.2's Xconfigurator, since it doesn't recognise the bladeXP (even though X does), makes X v3 the default anyway, so I still get them....sigh.... john.c -- John Clemens http://www.deater.net/john [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 7175925, IM: PianoManO8 "I Hate Quotes" -- Samuel L.
