I had a PCI rage 128 a while back. I used it with redhat 7.0 and it worked fine for 2D. Xv would only work in black and white though. I never tried 3D. The card also refused to work as a seconday card. In order to use it with my old G400, I had to make the rage the primary. It worked for me with a pretty standard setup. I even left in the DRI and glcore stuff. With or without, worked fine.
Alex ------------------------------- Today I talked to a user in IRC on #xfree86 on openprojects.net who was not able to get the ATI card in the subject to come up on his machine. I am wondering if any other people out there might be having the same problem, or if someone has one of these cards and it works for them. He tried disabling DRI, as well as noaccel, but the screen just goes blank and the monitor turns itself off. His config file was identical to what I use for the AGP version of that card, with the exception of DRI and GLcore being disabled and NoAccel. Right now, I'm just probing to see if others have problems with this card, or other cards that are PCI and might use the RE chip.
