Are there any news on the SIS630 on LCD's? Because I've seen that several
files have changed 2 weeks ago on the Xservers/hw/xfree86/drivers/sis
directory (including sis_lcd.{c,h}) so I've grabbed XFree from cvs and
compiled everything: the LCD bug it's still there. I've noted that in the
sis_lcd.{c.h} there are references to the sis301 chipset (I don't know if
they where there before, though), and moreover: now the display doesn't
hang: I can return to the console with ctrl-alt-backspace or terminal
switching and in a flash (less than one second) the correct X screen appears
and vanishes.

Right now I'm using this XFree-4.2.99 from CVS with the old "framebuffer
hack" patched sis_drv.o for XFree-4.1 (either the one from this list or the
one from Ren Rebe's homepage). XFree-4.1 with both sis_drv.o also works for
me. I still cannot get Xv to work, nor I have a DRI module for the linux
kernel (is there one?).

So, what the status of SiS (newest revision chipset, I suppose I have to
add) on LCD?

Thank you in advance,
