Do DRI and Xinerama get along? and if not, are there any plans to fix this
in the future?

I ask now, because I really don't want to spend a week driving myself
cuckoonuts, if it's not going to work anyway. For now, I'm still trying to
get 2D going on both heads (the AGP card does 2D, Xv and DRI OpenGL
perfectly. The PCI head just gives me a perfect mouse pointer on top of a
psychedelic screen. It doesn't even seem like my desktop environment is
starting, though I can move the mouse, and kill X with Ctl+Atl+Bksp). I
suspect that this is because the PCI card is in slot 1, right next to the
AGP slot, I may move it to the last slot to see if this fixes things.

If it's the only way to get DRI, I'll settle for non-Xinerama multihead,
since my WM likes this setup anyhoo (Window Maker).

The setup is this:

AMD Athlon 1.4GHz underclocked to 1266 MHz due to lack of mobo support.
ASUS A7V motherboard with integrated ATA100 controller (in addition to the
VIA 82c686b ATA66), based on the VIA KT133 chipset.
768MB PC133 SDR SDRAM
Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer USB mouse (works perfectly as a 3-button
wheelmouse, no side buttons, but I don't care).
ATi Radeon 32MB DDR AGP 4x, running at 1280x1024x24bpp
ATi Radeon 32MB SDR PCI, intend to run at 1280x1024x24bpp or 1152x864x24bpp
Xfree86 4.1.0 (could upgrade to CVS if necessary)
Linux 2.4.13 pristine (kernel.org sources, no patches), with radeonfb (I
could disable this, I use X 99.9997% of the time anyway.)
Compaq MV700 on first head (1280x1024x60Hz max res/refresh, 17")
Compaq FS740 on second head (1280x1024x75Hz max res/refresh, 17")
