You need the matrox binary drivers to use the second head on the G400.
Also the second head does not support 8 bit color, only 16 and 24 bit.

I cannot find the how to on multiheaded displays.
I have added two screen, monitor and devices to my XF86config-4 file.
I
have also changed first section.
It looks like everything loads, I get complete sections on MGA(0) and
MGA(1), but it bombs during the video transformation. I then get a 104
error.
I have a Matrox G400 with 16M of memory.
I also see both heads each taking 8 MB of memory, I would rather one to
take 15 MB and the other take 1 MB. I have a 1600x1200x24 monitor and a
640x480x8 monitor.
Does any body have any ideas, or have I not included the correct
information.
