Last month (or was it September) there was a discussion 
about tweaking the horizontal and vertical sync signals 
to center the Xv display (get rid of the blue edges).  
The suggenstion was to ideally determine the right 
settings internally, but this doesn't seem to have 
happened yet.  With 4.2 getting close to release, I was 
hoping that we could at least get the ability to 
manually tweak these settings through the config file.  
That way I wouldn't need to keep rebuilding X on my 
system and could use Debian's wonderful packages again.

If everyone is too busy, I could try my hands at a 
patch, though I'm sure that what would take me several 
hours could be done by someone in the know in 5 minutes.
