Folks, I have been trying to get the latest cvs-gatos-devel and latest
cvs-XFree86 to work with my Radeon VE card. I have been looking at the
radeon_driver and radeon_video sources inserting some debug statements.
Below is my startup log, please disregard my debug-markers. Seems to
have trouble with VBEInit and VBESetMode. It is able to detect NTSC for
TV and that the current vbemode is 0x114, but the set fails.
Any ideas? I have written linux-device drivers before and if I had the
technical specs on this card, I could surely help if needed.

Also, my monitor is plugged into the digital port via the supplied
adapter. TV is plugged into the S video port which adapts into composite
via the supplied adapter. When setup this way, console works fine on the
monitor but the text-output on the tv is scrambled. When starting X, X
comes up fine on the monitor, but the TV is scrambled as always. During
startup the TV flickers a few times and ends up scrambled.
Vladimir has told me to set my X mode to 800X600 16 bpp at 60 hz (60.3)
which I have done.
(**) RADEON(0): Virtual size is 800x600 (pitch 832)
(**) RADEON(0): Default mode "800x600": 40.0 MHz, 37.9 kHz, 60.3 Hz
(==) RADEON(0): DPI set to (75, 75)

Thanks
Korey
